Summer Camp: Paws, Claws, and Art

Paws, Claws, and Art takes place from June 23rd to June 27th.

Animals are taking over the Museum. Campers will express their wild creativity through various art forms inspired by our furry, feathered, and scaly friends. Through painting, drawing, sculpting, and more, they’ll capture the beauty and wonder of animals in imaginative ways.

Summer Camp: Earth Protectors

Earth Protectors takes place from June 16th to June 20th.

Be an eco-hero by creating art that celebrates and protects our natural world. Inspired by nature and the beauty of the Cummer Gardens, campers will dive into exciting projects that use recycled, organic, and natural materials.

Summer Camp: Myths and Legends

Myths and Legends takes place from June 9th to June 13th.

Unleash your inner mythmaker. Explore ancient tales and legends through art, inspired by the Museum’s collection. Using various art materials, campers will design their own fantastical creatures, make masks, and create versions of famous legends.

Summer Camp: Mystery in the Museum

Mystery in the Museum takes place from June 2nd to June 6th.

Uncover secrets hidden throughout the Museum. Campers will explore how artists use mystery and symbolism to tell stories. After solving the mysteries, campers will use different materials to create their own art filled with hidden meanings.

 

Native Cuisine Workshop with Saturiwa Trading Co.

Discover the rich culinary traditions of Native American cuisine with Mike Stowers of Saturiwa Trading Co. Drawing from his deep knowledge of indigenous foodways, Mike will guide participants through the preparation and history of traditional dishes, while exploring the cultural significance of native ingredients and cooking methods. This hands-on experience offers a unique opportunity to connect with Jacksonville’s heritage, celebrate its natural bounty, and savor the vibrant tastes of authentic Native American cuisine.
