The Norman Film Manufacturing Company, also known as the Norman Studios, located in Jacksonville, Florida, produced films out of its Arlington headquarters from 1920 until 1928. Richard E. Before Hollywood dominated the film industry, Florida was the hot spot for movie executives. With our warm weather, sunny skies, convenient location, cheap labor, and diverse scenery, Florida quickly became a frontrunner in the early film business in the first part of the 20th century. Jacksonville in particular seemed a logical choice as a capital.
