Transform fabric into a contemporary masterpiece with water marbling, a centuries-old technique. Participants will float color pigments on water to create patterns and then transfer them onto fabric. The results are breathtaking, making each piece a unique work of wearable art inspired by the exhibition, Sporting Fashion: Outdoor Girls 1800 to 196

Drawing inspiration from the beautiful mosaics in the Cummer Gardens, we will dive into the world of mosaic artistry where every piece is a unique self-expression. Allow your creativity to flow freely as we guide you through the intricacies of mosaic making.  

To slow stitch is to take time to mindfully create something new by hand stitching with needle and thread. Join Jacksonville Modern Quilt Guild members to learn beginner–friendly slow stitching techniques, and craft your own postcard-sized quilt.

Explore garments and fashion. After the story, our young fashion designers will design and create in the studio. Ancient in its origin, papercutting holds strong even today.  Common types of papercutting include tessellation, tiling, pattern cutting, silhouette cutting, and freeform.
