Bring your little ones for stories, songs, movement, and creative discovery inspired by art and nature. Each month, children and their caregivers will explore a new theme through engaging read-alouds in the galleries or gardens, followed by a hands-on artmaking activity in the studio. Designed for young learners, Artful Storytime encourages curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connections with the world around them. Each session is inspired by the Museum’s exhibitions, collections, or historically significant gardens.
Ordinary Days, Extraordinary Stories – inspired by Beyond the Frame
Join us for a storytime that celebrates the beauty of everyday life – simple moments like walking in the park, sharing time with family, visiting a neighborhood, and noticing the world around us, just as Seward Johnson captured in his artwork. Through stories, children will discover how ordinary activities can become meaningful, joyful, and full of wonder when we take time to truly see them. After storytime, little ones will explore their own creativity through a hands-on art activity.
