Creative Kids: Color – Expressing Mood and Meaning

Discover something new at the Museum each month through art, gardens, and hands-on creativity. Designed for children in grades K through 5 and their caregivers, Creative Kids invites participants to explore the galleries or gardens, engage with works of art and the natural world, and create a studio project inspired by the day’s theme. Each session offers a fresh opportunity to look closely, imagine, and make together.

Color can communicate feelings, ideas, and experiences. Through gallery and garden explorations, then hands-on artmaking, children will discover how artists use color and create vibrant works of their own.
