Summer Camp

Give your young artist a summer filled with creativity, discovery, and hands-on fun. Each themed week of Summer Art Camp offers a fresh experience. Campers will explore the galleries and gardens, experiment with new art materials, and bring their ideas to life in the studio. They’ll build confidence, make new friends, and share their masterpieces with family during a weekly open house celebration.

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
$305 for Members and $360 for Future Members per week (Please note that member pricing is available to Family-level memberships and above)

June 1 through 5, 2026: World Art Adventure

Travel the globe through art. Campers will explore how cultures around the world use color, pattern, and symbolism to tell their stories. Through drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture, they'll create artworks inspired by global traditions – celebrating creativity, heritage, and the beauty of our world.

June 8 through 12, 2026: Nature’s Secrets

The gardens become an outdoor studio as campers discover the hidden wonders of plants, textures, and natural forms. Young artists may use leaves and flowers to create botanical prints or sketch details of what they find outdoors, turning close observation into drawings, prints, and sculptures that reflect the wonders of nature.

June 15 through 19, 2026: The Great Animal Art Expedition

Animals take center stage as campers encounter wildlife from forests, deserts, rivers, and oceans through the lens of art. Through drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, campers will create artworks inspired by animals across cultures and history – expressing their own imaginative interpretations along the way.

June 22 through 26, 2026: Art and Science Mash-Up

Curiosity leads the way as campers examine how creativity and curiosity work together. Through the eye of an artist, they’ll uncover connections between the universe, the human body, and the principles of science. Using painting, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media, campers will experiment, observe, and imagine as they create artworks inspired by everything from the tiniest human cell to the vast constellations above.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, the Cummer Museum is pleased to offer two scholarships each week of Summer Camp 2026. Scholarships will be awarded to campers based on their interest in art, how much they would benefit from the program and the financial needs of the family. Scholarships cover 100% of the registration cost.

To apply for a scholarship, please complete the Scholarship Application Form
Upon receiving a notification that you have been awarded a scholarship, you will receive a Summer Camp registration link for scholarship recipients and will have one week to accept the scholarship and register for camp. If you do not do so, your spot may be awarded to someone on the waiting list. Campers applying for a scholarship cannot register for Summer Camp in advance. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible, as camp fills up quickly.
Please note that the camper’s parent/guardian is expected to provide transportation to and from the Museum each day as well as a lunch and a snack each day.

Classes

Art Classes at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens allow children, families, teens, and adults to explore their creative side while learning new skills, techniques, and styles. Students spend time in the Museum galleries and gardens to observe and study works of art and then take that inspiration back to the studio to create their own artwork. Each class is led by a local teaching artist.

Teens Program

The Teens Program is designed for students in grades 6 through 12. Participants will gain confidence in connecting with others while exploring the Museum’s history, art, nature, and with the community through slow looking, art making, public speaking, garden education, and volunteering. The program’s multi-disciplinary curriculum reinforces skills including research, artmaking, public speaking, critical thinking, communication, and problem solving.

The Teens Program is free, and any supplies needed are provided.
