Family Literacy Night at the Cummer Museum

In collaboration with the Jacksonville Public Library, Mayor Donna Deegan, and READ USA, the Museum is thrilled to welcome our partners – and the River City Readers Bookmobile – for a free evening of reading and family fun. From 5 to 7 p.m., families can pick out free books, enjoy giveaways, learn simple literacy tips, and sign up for library cards in a creative, welcoming setting – the perfect way to spark excitement for reading before winter break.

The Museum will be open until 8 p.m., and families are invited to explore the galleries and stroll through the historic riverside gardens together.

Together, we’re proud to support programs that spark discovery, connection, well-being, and a lifelong love of reading across Jacksonville.
