Art & Architecture: A Retrospective with Richard Skinner, AIA

Featuring his new book, Going Home – Life, Family & Architecture

Join us for a unique mid-morning talk with renowned Jacksonville-based architect Richard Skinner. Enjoy light bites and an engaging presentation as Richard offers a personal retrospective into his remarkable 30-year practice. Highlights from his new book, Going Home – Life, Family & Architecture, will include fascinating stories of his family history in Jacksonville, the journey that led him to architecture, and a special look back at his firm’s popular Art & Architecture Tours for the Cummer Museum that showcased Jacksonville’s most beautiful homes and art collections. Richard will share the design principles that guided his firm, showcasing diverse architectural projects from the tours and revealing how each unique design stemmed from the same core vision.

A book signing will follow, with proceeds benefitting the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. Books will be available for purchase in the Cummer Shop.
