Join Emelie Gevalt, Curator of Folk Art at the American Folk Art Museum, for a virtual lecture of highlights from American Perspectives: Stories from the American Folk Art Museum Collection. Gevalt will introduce a broad range of works across the four centuries encompassed by the exhibition, from portraits and landscapes to trade signs, quilts, ceramics, and decorated furniture. Through the stories behind these objects, this talk explores how American artists have used their creativity to express their identity in a variety of media across time and place.
