Using a template and the correct cutting tools, a papercut artist transforms a single piece of paper into a two or three-dimensional artwork. Ancient in its origin, papercutting holds strong in a contemporary setting. Common types of papercutting include tessellation, tiling, pattern cutting, silhouette cutting, and freeform.
Join renowned papercut artist Hiromi Moneyhun as she shares techniques to create your own unique papercut. Each one-day workshop is designed to introduce papercutting techniques, no experience required. These techniques are then used to create a take-home papercut design.
