Prayer for Peace with OneJax and Vocal Performance with JAMS

Community Quilting Activity
Time: Noon to 3 p.m.
Location: Art Connections
Museum visitors will design fabric squares that represent their hopes and dreams, inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of the “Promised Land.” These squares will be sewn together by a volunteer, creating a community quilt that symbolizes unity and collective effort. This collaborative art project reflects Dr. King’s belief in a society where diverse voices come together to weave a shared future of equality and justice.

Family Storytime
Time: 1, 2, and 3 p.m.
Location: Round Room
Join us for a fun family storytime. Storytime will last approximately 15 minutes.
Performance by The Performers Academy Teens
Time: 2:30 to 3 p.m.
Location: Auditorium
In this dynamic 30-minute presentation, The Performers Academy Teens will deliver a powerful blend of singing, poetry, dance, and potentially a few impactful monologues. Through their artistic expressions, they will explore what it means for them, as the younger generation, to carry forward MLK’s vision for justice, equality, and hope.
