Join Monet to Matisse curator Lisa Small from the Brooklyn Museum as she takes a closer look at some of the works in the exhibition and offers a lively overview of the avant-garde movements that defined modern art in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in France. The evening will begin with wine, beer, and small bites, then Ms. Small’s talk and question and answer session, and ends with a book signing of the exhibition catalogue: “French Moderns: Monet to Matisse 1850-1950”.
