Artists labeled Impressionists were extremely diverse in their approaches to painting. For example, Cassatt and Degas emphasized the human figure. Works by Frieseke, Pissarro, and Renoir will be considered against the backdrop of the eight Impressionist exhibitions held in Paris between 1874 and 1886.
