Culture and Conversation: Virtual Talk with Artist, Nick Cave

October 7, 2020
7 to 8 P.M.

Culture and Conversation returns with Nick Cave, an American sculptor, dancer and performance artist. Cave is most known for his whimsical assemblage work, as well as found object fabric sculptures aptly named “Soundsuits.” He discussed how growing up in a large family, raised by his single mother in low socio-economic household shaped his love of found objects and assemblage and led to his rise in the art world.

This virtual lecture is presented as part of the Museum's series, Culture and Conversation, which cultivates meaningful dialogue with diverse audiences and connects people to the arts, gardens, and each other. Sponsored by Ashley and Matt Wotiz.
