Enjoy socially distanced performances, choreographed and produced by Rebecca Levy, a 2020 Art Ventures Individual Artist Grant recipient. Performances will be in the Cummer Gardens at 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Disorder, a choreographic work by Rebecca R. Levy tackles the profound experiences of individuals suffering from and living with mental illness, in the hope that this will help bring awareness through the availability and accessibility of this performance and encourage healthy support and discourse surrounding the topic. Original music by Mark Snyder. Dancers will be presenting an excerpt of the work the grant helped support.
Hurley Winkler, a 2020 Art Ventures grant recipient, is a writer from Jacksonville working on her first novel. She'll read excerpts from her diary documenting the writing process and the development of her new book (and all the dramatic pitfalls along the way) in person at 6:30 p.m. First come first served socially distanced seating will be available.
*In the case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved indoors.
