Make art with your little one and enjoy Gallery and Garden visits on the second Saturday of each month. Students will learn how music and songs influence art from LIFT: Contemporary Expressions of the African American Experience and the Permanent Collection, highlighting the song Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing, written by Jacksonville natives James Weldon Johnson and John Rosamond Johnson in 1900. Students will return to the studio to create their own music-inspired work of art. Projects will be completed within one class. Open to children ages 3 through 5 and their favorite adult. Class size is limited. For further information, please email or call 904.355.0630.
