Cummer Amelia partners with the Fernandina Beach Library for a lecture series on “Women Artists from the Renaissance to Abstract Expressionism” by Cummer Museum Director of Education Lynn Norris. This series continues with the 18th century, when three women achieved a degree of fame, wealth, and adulation that was unparalleled – Rosalba Carriera, Angelica Kauffman, and Elizabeth Vigée-Lebrun (who was the subject of a major retrospective at the Metropolitan Museum of Art).
